Versus, NASCAR team up on “Quest for the NASCAR Sprint Cup” through end of 2009 season

Versus has signed a multiyear deal with NASCAR to air a weekly, half-hour series, Quest for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, beginning Tuesday, NASCAR has announced. The series will look at the 12 drivers in the 10-race Chase for the Sprint Cup and will air at 11 p.m. Tuesdays until the conclusion of the 2009 season. NASCAR is calling the series "a milestone in HD sports programming," and says it and Versus also will partner on additional programming.
