In October, nothing was more powerful in sports media than . . . a right-field pole camera

No. 1 this month . . . the Fox Sports right-field pole camera. So writes Richard Deitsch in his monthly Media Power Rankings. "After Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez bonked a drive to right field off a Fox camera overhanging the fence at Citizens Bank Park in Game 3 of the World Series, the camera became a leading player in the drama," Deitsch writes. "Major League Baseball officials said the camera should have never been hanging over the fence and ordered it beyond the fence." Also ranking this month: The Missoulian (Montana) feature writer Chelsi Moy, Fox Favre Cam operator Jesse Liebe and the late Jimmy "The Greek" Snyder.
