Columnist offers a bit of (unsolicited) advice for ESPN

Apparently, not everyone loves the self-proclaimed World Wide Leader. Phil Mushnick offers some unsolicited advice to ESPN, writing, "Given one more shot to help cure what ails ESPN — to try to save it from devouring itself whole — this is what I’d do: I’d gather its top four or five execs in a room in early September, on the Sunday night and the following Monday night that coincides with Sunday Night Baseball followed by those back-to-back Monday Night Football telecasts ESPN bought for the start of the NFL season, as per this past Sunday and Monday. Then the bunch of us would watch all three telecasts, roughly 10, 11 hours of live, big-ticket, big-event exclusive national TV. Do you think any of the group would/could tell us that he particularly enjoyed the way the ESPN announcers did not — not even for three consecutive seconds — shut up?"
