The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame were no match for the World Series, drawing a 1.4/3 final rating and 2.3 million viewers for their game against Washington State on NBC in prime-time this past Saturday night. "The 1.4 rating is the second-lowest of the season for a Notre Dame telecast on NBC, and is tied as the third-lowest for a Notre Dame game on the network since 2007," Sports Media Watch writes. "Only Nevada/Notre Dame earlier this season (1.3) and Duke/Notre Dame in 2007 (1.2) drew lower ratings over the past three seasons."
