CBSSports.com aiming for 10 million-user mark for March Madness On Demand

"CBSSports.com is projecting more than 10 million unique users for the 2010 version of March Madness On Demand, its highly popular free online distribution of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament," Eric Fisher writes, adding, "The total would represent 33 percent growth from last year’s 7.52 million unique users, itself a 58 percent leap from 2008. The network is also anticipating substantial jumps in video consumption for MMOD. It counted 8.6 million hours of live video and audio last year." Fisher quotes Jason Kint, CBS-Sports.com senior vice president and general manager, "We feel confident that we’re going to be able to hit 10 million uniques, which we think is a pretty significant milestone for live online video.”
