
CBS is approaching a 90 percent sellout for February’s broadcast of Super Bowl XLIV,
Brian Steinberg writes. Citing the network’s head of sports sales, Steinberg writes that the network likely has between six and 12 30-second ad spots remaining from the 62 typically sold for the event. John Bogusz, CBS’s executive Vice President of Sports Sales and Marketing, says sales have been "surprisingly good," and suggests CBS is ahead of Super Bowl ad sales for the 2007 Super Bowl telecast. That was the last time the network broadcast the game.
