A four-time winner of the Professional Basketball Writers Association of America contest, Conrad Brunner brings more than 30 years of experience to Indiana University’s sports journalism program.
After 22 years as a print journalist, Brunner took a leadership role in the transition to digital media in 2000 by directing the Indiana Pacers' Internet operations, including the planning and production of written and multimedia content for the flagship Pacers.com.
Fortunate enough to have covered the NBA, NFL, Major League Baseball and NCAA Division I football and basketball as a beat writer since beginning his career in 1978, Brunner is also the author of the book, "Boom Baby: The Sudden, Surprising Rise of the Indiana Pacers" (Masters Press, 1994).
He began teaching in 2007 as a journalism adjunct at Butler University before joining IU as a digital journalism instructor.
